Home / ESG Information / Environmental Sustainability / Greenhouse Gas Reduction Management Policy
TRK Corporation recognizes the long-term impact of climate change on business operations and the environment. In fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and advancing sustainable development goals, the Company actively implements greenhouse gas (GHG) emission management and reduction mechanisms, progressively moving toward a low-carbon operational model and a green enterprise vision.
The year 2024 has been established as the base year for GHG inventory, with a total emission volume of 11,700.1874 metric tons CO₂e. Taroko continues to promote energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction as critical strategies to achieve carbon reduction targets. A comprehensive inventory and record of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across operational sites have been completed, forming a foundational reference for setting future quantitative reduction goals and performance tracking.
Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction
Implementation of concrete measures such as replacing energy-intensive equipment, adopting smart air-conditioning and LED lighting systems, and improving equipment efficiency to reduce overall energy consumption.
Operational Behavior Optimization
Promotion of internal green behavior guidelines, including practices like turning off lights, saving electricity, and enhancing resource reuse, to strengthen employee awareness of low-carbon living.
Waste Management Policy
Enforcement of resource recycling and waste segregation; customization of food waste and used oil recycling systems according to site-specific characteristics to reduce carbon emissions.
Regulatory Compliance and Climate Policy Readiness
Alignment with governmental GHG inventory and reduction regulations, with proactive preparation for potential climate-related policies such as carbon taxes and carbon fees.
Based on the results of the 2024 base year inventory, Taroko will formulate medium- and long-term carbon reduction targets, alongside annual tracking and improvement plans. The Company is committed to continually optimizing its carbon management system to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement of its greenhouse gas management policies.
Home / ESG Information / Environmental Sustainability / Energy Management Plan
To fulfill its commitment to energy conservation and carbon reduction, TRK Corporation has been dedicated to enhancing energy efficiency across its operations. By introducing energy-saving equipment and adopting comprehensive energy management strategies, the Company aims to minimize environmental impact and strengthen electricity monitoring and improvement practices at all operational sites. The following key measures have been implemented:
The Company has established a formal Energy Management Policy that emphasizes:
Continuous improvement of energy performance
Compliance with relevant regulations

Home / ESG Information / Environmental Sustainability / Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities
In response to the potential impacts of climate change on corporate operations, TRK Corporationhas established a clearly defined climate governance framework. The Board of Directors serves as the highest supervisory body, responsible for reviewing and approving climate-related strategies and risk response policies, ensuring that the Company’s operational direction aligns with sustainable development principles.
On the execution side, the Sustainable Development Task Force is responsible for coordinating implementation efforts, regularly compiling updates on climate issues, energy efficiency, and energy-saving projects. The Task Force also facilitates cross-departmental collaboration and feedback mechanisms to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of climate governance.
Taroko proactively addresses the challenges of climate change by tailoring a variety of response strategies to its operational characteristics. In addition to installing energy-efficient equipment (e.g., smart HVAC systems and LED lighting), the Company strengthens the disaster resilience of buildings, designs low-carbon operation processes, and promotes environmental initiatives such as rainwater harvesting and green space development.
By gradually integrating internal resources and enhancing cross-functional cooperation, Taroko aims to build a more resilient and sustainable operating model that mitigates the potential impacts of climate change on revenue, operating costs, and customer experience.
To reinforce the Company’s climate risk assessment procedures and enhance the implementation of risk identification and response mechanisms, Taroko assigns each business unit the responsibility to regularly identify physical risks (e.g., extreme weather, flooding, rising temperatures) and transition risks (e.g., carbon taxation, regulatory changes, shifts in customer preferences) relevant to their operations.
Each identified risk is assessed based on likelihood and impact level, and corresponding mitigation measures are developed accordingly. All departments are required to report the outcomes of their risk management efforts periodically. These reports are consolidated by the Risk Management Task Force and submitted to the Sustainable Development Committee, serving as a key reference for adjusting operational strategies and sustainability goals.
Taroko has adopted the ISO 14064-1 standard for greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and discloses Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions), and partially Scope 3 (value chain emissions) based on verifiable data. In 2024, the Company completed carbon inventories and third-party verifications for all major operational sites, providing a foundation for emissions management and performance tracking.
Taroko has also set mid- to long-term carbon reduction targets, progressively implementing energy-efficient equipment, low-carbon procurement practices, and resource circulation strategies. Progress is tracked using quantitative performance indicators, reinforcing the Company’s commitment to achieving its environmental sustainability vision.
