Taroko said that in October last year, through its subsidiary Taroko Company, it signed a contract with the Kaohsiung MRT Bureau and the Kaohsiung City Government to jointly carry out the development of “Taroko Caoya Road”, which is the first low-density large-scale shopping mall in Taiwan’s metropolitan area, covering an area of 26,000 pyeong and a construction area of 42,000 pyeong.

In addition to introducing Japan’s first overseas authorized car park at Suzuka International Circuit, it will also invite food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, music and other related major merchants to enter the mall, which is expected to officially start operations in the first quarter of 2016, and the number of visitors is expected to exceed 10 million per year.

In the fourth quarter of last year, Taroko recognized the interests in the land and buildings in Xinpu Town, Hsinchu County, with a net profit after tax of NT$ 578 million and a net profit of NT$ 6.58 per share last year, based on the future business layout, the board of directors intends to allocate a stock dividend of NT$ 4 per share.
