Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Ju led a delegation to visit Japan, marketing Kaohsiung, and on the morning of March 2, she went to Suzuka International Circuit in Mie Prefecture to participate in the “Japan press conference for the development of the Taroko Chaoya Road”, she said that the Taroko Caoya Road development project is the world’s first shopping mall development project that combines the theme of motorsport with an amusement park in the urban area, Kaohsiung’s warm climate and colorful sightseeing scenery are very worthy of Japanese visitors, and hope that Taiwan and Japan will have closer exchanges.

Last year, the Kaohsiung Municipal Government signed a contract with Kaohsiung MRT Company and Da Luge Company to raise funds to develop and operate 26,000 pyeong of land in the commercial service area of Kaohsiung MRT South Machinery Factory, and received the assistance of Japan’s MOBILITY Co., Ltd. to jointly plan an international automobile theme park, which is also the first case of MOBILITYLAND transferring the knowledge and technology of the construction of the Suzuka Circuit to the island.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Suzuka Circuit in Mie Prefecture, Mayor Chen Ju attended the grand event, accompanied by Xie Guodong, Vice Chairman of LARGELAND Company, personally explained the “Daluge Kusanagi Development Project”, and warmly invited Hidekei Suzuki, Governor of Mie Prefecture, Noriko Suematsu, Mayor of Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, and President Sonda of MOBILITYLAND to visit Kaohsiung.
Chen Ju said that the first phase of the development of Taroko Caoya Road has invested more than NT$ 12.5 billion and is expected to start operation in 2016, and the biggest highlight is the cooperation with Japan’s MOBILITYLAND, which combines a scaled-down version of the Suzuka track-shaped go-kart track and car parent-child theme amusement park, which will be the world’s first shopping mall development project to combine motorsport themes with amusement parks in urban areas.

Chen Ju said that Kaohsiung is a young and dynamic city with endless development potential, the central government and the municipal government are now working together to build a harbor construction – Asia New Bay Area, with a total investment of more than 90 billion yen, the four major constructions and light rail rapid transit are expected to be completed after this year, plus the development of Taroko Caoya Road, which will greatly enhance Kaohsiung’s image and urban appearance.

Chen Ju also pointed out that more than 1.4 million Japanese tourists visited Taiwan last year, and Kaohsiung, located in southern Taiwan, has a warm climate, rich products and warm people, and sincerely welcomes Japanese visitors. In March this year, Mie County will hold a product exhibition in Taiwan; This was followed by the Taiwan-Japan Tourism Summit in Mie Prefecture in May, and exchanges between the two sides are expected to become closer.

Located in Mie Prefecture, Suzuka Circuit is Japan’s oldest and famous F1 racing track and parent-themed amusement park, and every year on the eve of the event, a fan appreciation day is held to conduct test runs, attracting many people to visit the event. Accompanied by Japanese representatives, the city government team visited the control tower, the GROUP C CAR model display, and then visited the parent-child theme park, which has a small driving training class, a simulated racing track and other facilities, where the Japanese can expose children with motorsport and correct driving knowledge through safe play equipment, which is fun and educational.
